Nine hotels and four restaurants in North America have recently been added to the AAA Four Diamonds list, according to an announcement from AAA. These establishments are recognized for providing stylish surroundings and attentive service.
AAA Inspectors conduct unannounced visits to hotels and restaurants throughout North America, the Caribbean, and Costa Rica. During these inspections, they assess properties based on the "4 Cs" of AAA Diamonds: Cleanliness, Comfort, Cuisine, and Consistency.
The newly awarded Four Diamond hotels include Caesars Republic Scottsdale in Arizona; Faraway Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts; Hotel Santiago Curio Collection by Hilton in the Dominican Republic; The Bellevue Hotel, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Pennsylvania; The Dunlin, Auberge Resorts Collection in South Carolina; The St. Regis Aruba Resort in Aruba; The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort and Zel Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic; and The Vanguard Ann Arbor, Autograph Collection in Michigan.
Four restaurants also received the Four Diamond distinction: Chino Poblano in Playa del Carmen, Mexico; Musaafer in Houston, Texas; Nina in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; and The Leopard at des Artistes in New York City.
Diamond lists are updated monthly as inspectors continue their evaluations throughout the year. Currently, there are about 145 Five Diamond hotels and 65 Five Diamond restaurants. Additionally, there are roughly 1,750 Four Diamond hotels and 500 Four Diamond restaurants.
