Brown-Forman Corporation and Korbel Champagne Cellars have announced the conclusion of their sales, marketing, and distribution partnership, effective June 30, 2025. This decision ends a longstanding business relationship that has lasted for several decades.

Lawson Whiting, President and CEO of Brown-Forman Corporation, stated, "We deeply value the rich history and collaborative spirit that has characterized our relationship with Korbel and its owner, Gary Heck. Going forward, we will each pursue our respective long-term growth objectives."

Gary Heck, President and Owner of Korbel Champagne Cellars, expressed appreciation for the successful partnership with Brown-Forman over the years. He remarked, “Korbel deeply appreciates the decades of successful partnership with Brown-Forman. As we embark on this new chapter, we are excited to continue connecting with our consumers and further elevate our iconic brand nationwide."

Both companies are focused on ensuring a smooth transition for their customers and stakeholders during this period.

Brown-Forman Corporation has been in operation for more than 150 years and is known for its premium spirits brands including Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands among others. The company operates globally with approximately 5,400 employees.

Korbel Champagne Cellars was established in 1882 in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley. It is recognized as one of the United States' leading producers of méthode champenoise champagne. Owned by the Heck family since 1954, Korbel also produces a variety of California champagnes as well as brandy.
