The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced the opening of a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in Pawnee County to support small businesses, private nonprofit organizations, and residents affected by wildfires on March 14-15. The center will be located at the Cleveland Fire Department's courtroom in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Starting Thursday, May 22, SBA customer service representatives will be available at the center to assist with disaster loan applications. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments can also be scheduled online at appointment.sba.gov. The center will operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for Memorial Day on May 26.
Chris Stallings, associate administrator of the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the SBA, stated, "When disasters strike, SBA’s Disaster Loan Outreach Centers perform an important role by assisting small businesses and their communities." He added that these centers help business owners and residents apply for disaster loans and learn about recovery programs.
Additional DLOCs are currently open in Lincoln County at the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma Fire Department in Perkins; Logan County at the Logan County Courthouse Annex in Guthrie; and Payne County at the City of Stillwater Community Center. Each location has specific operating hours and closure dates.
Businesses and nonprofits can apply for business physical disaster loans up to $2 million for repairing or replacing damaged assets. Homeowners may borrow up to $500,000 for primary residence repairs, while renters can apply for personal property loans up to $100,000.
Eligible applicants may receive a loan increase of up to 20% for mitigation improvements such as insulating pipes or installing storm windows. The Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is also available for financial losses related to these disasters.
Interest rates start as low as 4% for small businesses and have terms up to 30 years. Interest does not accrue until one year after the first loan disbursement. Applications can be submitted online at sba.gov/disaster or by contacting SBA’s Customer Service Center.
The deadline for physical property damage applications is July 21, 2025, while economic injury applications must be submitted by February 20, 2026.
