HUMAIN, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has announced a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to advance artificial intelligence development. This collaboration aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a leader in AI and digital transformation globally.
The partnership will utilize NVIDIA platforms to create AI factories in Saudi Arabia with a projected capacity of up to 500 megawatts using NVIDIA's advanced GPUs over the next five years. The initial phase includes deploying an 18,000 NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell AI supercomputer.
These AI data centers will support training and deploying sovereign AI models at scale, benefiting industries across Saudi Arabia and worldwide. HUMAIN will also use the NVIDIA Omniverse platform for simulating physical environments through human-AI solutions, enhancing sectors like manufacturing and logistics.
The collaboration includes workforce transformation initiatives, providing training in advanced AI technologies to thousands of Saudis. This aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals for economic diversification and digital leadership.
Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, stated: “AI, like electricity and internet, is essential infrastructure for every nation.” His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Alswaha emphasized the significance of this partnership in building future AI factories. Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, noted that this step is crucial for realizing the Kingdom’s ambitions in AI.
