IBM and Scuderia Ferrari HP have jointly launched a revamped mobile application aimed at enhancing the experience of nearly 400 million global fans of the sport. The app, available in English and Italian, features a new Race Centre and Racing Insights powered by IBM watsonx.
Key features of the app include AI-generated race summaries and post-race insights with data visualizations. These elements leverage watsonx technologies to transform complex race data into engaging narratives and analyses, accessible shortly after race events. Additional offerings include historical insights comparing current and past milestones for the team.
New interactive features have been introduced, such as fan messaging and daily polls on various topics related to the team and races. The app also highlights iconic races from Ferrari’s history, aiming to provide a personalized experience year-round.
IBM and Scuderia Ferrari are committed to rolling out further app enhancements throughout 2025, intended to invigorate the racing season. "IBM and Ferrari are bound by a shared commitment to progress, innovation and excellence," remarked Jonathan Adashek, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at IBM. He noted the collaborative use of AI to create a new standard for engaging fans, whether during race weekends or not.
Lorenzo Giorgetti, Chief Racing Revenue Officer at Ferrari, emphasized the app's goal of bringing fans closer to the essence of Ferrari.
