Teodoro, located in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, has earned the distinction of being added to the AAA Five Diamond list, according to a recent announcement. This accolade is bestowed upon only a select group of restaurants and reflects the establishment’s commitment to excellence.
The restaurant, situated within the AAA Five Diamond hotel Impression Moxché by Secrets, offers a seven-course dining experience blending Mexican flavors with French culinary techniques.
In addition to Teodoro’s recognition, AAA has awarded the Four Diamond rating to 14 hotels and 10 restaurants in April. Such properties are noted for providing upscale amenities and distinctive fine dining experiences.
AAA Inspectors conduct unannounced visits to hotels and restaurants throughout North America, the Caribbean, and Costa Rica. They assess properties using the 4 Cs of AAA Diamonds: Cleanliness, Comfort, Cuisine, and Consistency.
The list of new AAA Four Diamond Hotels includes Alila Napa Valley in St. Helena, California, Caesars New Orleans Hotel & Casino in New Orleans, Louisiana, and other distinguished properties in locations such as Cancun, Mexico, and Bayahibe, Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, the new AAA Four Diamond Restaurants feature Bisou in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, and other esteemed dining venues across North America.
AAA updates its Diamond lists on a monthly basis. Currently, approximately 145 hotels and 65 restaurants hold the Five Diamond status, while around 1,750 hotels and 500 restaurants have achieved Four Diamond recognition.
