Today marks the launch of Edits, a new video creation app designed to facilitate video production directly on mobile devices. Intended for individuals passionate about making videos, this application combines necessary tools for video creation into a single platform.

According to the developers, "This is just the first step in making an app that helps you create your best videos, and we plan to keep evolving and improving Edits based on your feedback."

The app aims to provide creative tools for video creators, enabling them to express themselves on various platforms beyond just Instagram and Facebook. The developers emphasize that the app addresses common challenges in video production, which typically involve multiple applications and complex procedures.

The app features longer camera capture capacity, reaching up to ten minutes, project management tools, and options for high-quality video sharing. Users can share content directly to Instagram and Facebook or export videos without watermarks for use on other platforms.

Editing capabilities of Edits include a frame-accurate timeline with clip-level editing, auto-enhancement options, and effects such as green screen and transitions. It also provides real-time insights into factors like skip rates, offering feedback that could impact video distribution.

"Our goal is to build the most compelling creative tools to help creators express themselves freely in all the ways they can imagine," states the development team.

The application has been developed in collaboration with creators, with various concepts tested and feedback integrated over time. A select group of creators received early access to the app, sharing their thoughts and impressions.

The Edits team is already working on additional features, embracing user feedback for improvement. Planned updates include:

- Keyframes for precise timing, motion, and effect adjustments

- AI effects for altering video appearance

- Sharing options for collaboration with others

- Expanded creativity tools, such as fonts, text animations, transitions, voice effects, filters, and royalty-free music

As Edits becomes available, creators can download the app and access it using their Instagram accounts.
