Global investment firm Carlyle has announced the provision of a financing package to Suntera Global, an independent provider of bespoke fund, corporate, and private wealth services. The Global Credit platform of Carlyle is behind this financial package, aiming to refinance Suntera's current indebtedness and provide additional capital for its organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Suntera Global, established in 1980, offers a wide range of professional services to corporates, fund managers, and private clients through a network of offices in Europe, Asia, and North America. They focus on assisting clients with the complexities of wealth management and mitigating compliance, regulatory, and reporting risks. The company employs over 500 specialists.

Nicola Falcinelli, Deputy Head of European Private Credit at Carlyle, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to support Suntera's continued growth story through this strategic financing. We believe Suntera is strongly positioned to meet growing and resilient demand for specialized professional services, particularly within the context of a rapidly evolving and complex regulatory landscape."

David Hudson, CEO of Suntera, commented on the new financing, saying, “Since the Management Buy Out in 2019, Suntera has built on its core heritage, grown its international footprint through strong organic and inorganic growth, and established a reputation for its highly specialized capability and diversified proposition."

Carlyle's Global Credit platform currently manages $192 billion in assets as of December 31, 2024. It regularly seeks investments in privately negotiated capital solutions with high-quality sponsors and leading companies. This new transaction with Suntera follows other recent investments by Carlyle's European credit platform, such as those in Argon, Sanoptis, and Bianalisi.

Carlyle is a global investment firm with investments across Global Private Equity, Global Credit, and Global Investment Solutions, managing $441 billion of assets as of December 31, 2024.

Suntera Global offers multi-jurisdictional fund, corporate, and private wealth services, employing over 500 specialists across various global offices. The company focuses on fund, company and trust administration as well as outsourced compliance, accounting and tax services.

Media contacts for Carlyle and Suntera Global are Charlie Bristow and Cara Pyper, respectively.
