OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital is enhancing its imaging services by expanding the availability of MRI appointments. This initiative aims to provide patients with improved access to essential diagnostic imaging.
MRI appointments at the hospital will be available on Saturday, April 26, and Saturday, May 3. Starting May 19, MRI services will be offered every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. This ensures consistent weekday availability for residents of Hardin County and nearby areas.
The expansion aligns with OhioHealth's commitment to provide high-level care locally. By increasing MRI availability, the hospital seeks to alleviate scheduling challenges and offer prompt diagnoses for conditions such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and other medical issues needing advanced imaging.
MRI, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging, is crucial for diagnosing a variety of health conditions. In many rural communities, limited appointment slots can delay necessary care. By expanding MRI services at Hardin Memorial Hospital, patients will face fewer obstacles such as long-distance travel or extended waiting periods.
“We recognize how important it is for our patients to have access to timely, high-quality imaging,” said Jim Whitaker, senior advisor of operations at OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital. “With this expansion, we are ensuring that more patients can receive the diagnostic services they need right here in their own community—without the added stress of long wait times or travel.”
