United Way of Greater Cincinnati recently honored local businesses and organizations for their contributions to the community. Through the Workplaces That Care and Changemakers Awards, the organization acknowledged those whose charitable efforts have strengthened the community and fostered lasting change.
Facing complex and interconnected challenges, United Way of Greater Cincinnati emphasizes educational success, financial empowerment, and housing security. "Fortunately, we don’t have to do it alone," the organization stated, acknowledging the support from partners across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
The celebration took place on March 18 during the United We Celebrate event, where awards were given in two categories. The Workplaces That Care awards highlighted the Top 25 and Tremendous 25 corporate campaigns, recognizing businesses with the highest total and per-capita giving. New participating businesses were also acknowledged for joining the initiative to create a thriving community.
Changemakers Awards recognized five businesses fostering volunteerism within their companies, honoring those with the most per-capita volunteer hours. A grassroots nonprofit was also commended for its innovative community support.
"Visit uwgc.org/wtc to see the Workplaces That Care and Changemakers Awards recipients," the statement concludes, encouraging others to engage with these initiatives.
In another move to support community growth, the Cincinnati Regional Chamber aims to enhance the area's vibrancy and economic prosperity. It seeks to foster a welcoming environment through business community development, population growth, and cultural vibrancy.
