In 2022, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) issued 57 grants totaling $238,656,132 to fund economic development projects in California.

This represents a 181.5% increase over 2021, when the state received $84,794,528 in funding.

California ranked first across the U.S. in total EDA grant funding for 2022.

California Travel and Tourism Commission received the largest EDA grant for funding an economic development project in the state, totalling $45,948,199.
