In 2022, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) issued 36 grants totaling $43,915,595 to fund economic development projects in New Mexico.

This represents a 116.4% increase over 2021, when the state received $20,292,586 in funding.

New Mexico ranked 27th across the U.S. in total EDA grant funding for 2022. California topped the list with $238,656,132 in funding across 57 grants.

New Mexico Tourism Department received the largest EDA grant for funding an economic development project in the state, totalling $7,939,998.
