The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. has announced the appointment of KC McClure as an independent director to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Ms. McClure will also join the Board’s Audit, Governance, and Risk Committees starting April 1, 2025. She is set to retire from Accenture at the end of March 2025, where she served as Chief Financial Officer from January 2019 to November 2024 and is currently a Senior Finance Advisor.
Throughout her nearly 37-year tenure at Accenture, Ms. McClure held various senior roles including Head of Investor Relations and Managing Director of Finance Operations. Her extensive experience in finance and operations is expected to enhance the Board's expertise.
Additionally, John Waldron has been appointed to the Board as President and Chief Operating Officer but will not serve on any committees due to his non-independent status.
David Solomon, Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs stated, “We are excited to welcome both KC and John to our Board.” He highlighted Ms. McClure's strategic contributions during her time at Accenture and Mr. Waldron's insights into firm priorities.
David Viniar, Lead Director added that Ms. McClure’s expertise in global finance operations would significantly benefit the Board while Mr. Waldron’s understanding of Goldman Sachs’ business landscape would further enhance his role as a director.
