Boeing has announced the appointment of Jeff Shockey as executive vice president of Government Operations, Global Public Policy & Corporate Strategy. His new role will commence on February 24. Shockey's responsibilities will include overseeing Boeing's global public policy initiatives, U.S. government operations at various levels, sustainability efforts, and the company's philanthropic activities through Boeing Global Engagement. Additionally, he will be tasked with ensuring a unified corporate strategy to effectively communicate Boeing's business interests and foster engagement with both public and private stakeholders.

Shockey will report directly to Kelly Ortberg, Boeing President and CEO, and will join the company's Executive Council. Ortberg expressed confidence in Shockey's capabilities: "Jeff's tremendous record of accomplishment across more than 30 years in government, government relations and business development will be an asset as we work to restore trust with key government stakeholders." He further noted that Shockey's previous experience at Boeing and within the commercial and defense sectors would aid in strengthening the company's culture.

Before returning to Boeing, Shockey led global government relations at RTX. His earlier roles at Boeing included vice president positions in Global Sales and Marketing for Defense, Space & Security as well as Federal Affairs and International Policy for Government Operations. He also held senior staff positions within the U.S. House of Representatives.
