As the 119th Congress begins and a new administration prepares for inauguration, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices and the Bipartisan Policy Center have released a report aimed at addressing challenges faced by small businesses in the U.S. economy. The report, titled "The Small Business Policy Playbook: Winning Strategies to Drive Economic Growth," outlines strategies to level the playing field for small businesses.

John F.W. Rogers, Executive Vice President of Goldman Sachs, emphasized the importance of this partnership with the Bipartisan Policy Center. He stated, “We are proud to partner with the Bipartisan Policy Center to provide lawmakers on both sides of the aisle with actionable policy solutions to help level the playing field for small businesses."

The playbook proposes legislative efforts focusing on workforce competition, reducing business costs, and fostering innovation. To promote these recommendations, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices is launching a football-themed advertising campaign urging policymakers to support small businesses.

Margret Spellings, President and CEO of the Bipartisan Policy Center, highlighted bipartisan agreement on economic growth through thriving small businesses. She remarked that "the Small Business Policy Playbook offers...clear legislative recommendations for bipartisan policies that they can enact to empower small businesses."

Jessica Johnson-Cope from Johnson Security Bureau also supported this initiative by saying it provides "a roadmap for how policymakers can support small business owners so we can thrive."

The playbook includes insights from extensive research involving small business owners and presents recommendations in key areas such as workforce competition, financial barriers reduction, and sparking growth through innovation.

With an eagerness from Congress and the new administration to fulfill economic promises, this playbook serves as an opportunity for policymakers to advocate for small businesses and contribute positively to economic growth.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices has been advocating policies important to its participants since its inception nearly five years ago. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses has assisted over 16,000 entrepreneurs across all U.S. states by providing education programs and access to capital.

The Bipartisan Policy Center continues its mission of fostering bipartisan solutions among policymakers since its establishment in 2007.
