The State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company has announced the election of Kenneth J. Worzel as the Non-Executive Chair of its Board of Directors. Worzel will collaborate with President and CEO Jon Farney, who manages the company's operations and serves on the board.

Jon Farney expressed his enthusiasm about working with Worzel: “I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues on the Board and Ken as we guide State Farm into the future, keep our customers at the center of everything we do, and pursue our strategic goals.”

Worzel, who is also Chief Customer Officer at Nordstrom, Inc., joined State Farm's Board in 2018. He takes over from Michael Tipsord, who stepped down as Chair in September.

“The Board has every confidence in Jon and his leadership team and looks forward to working with them to continue serving customers and upholding the principles and values of State Farm,” said Worzel.

State Farm remains a leading insurer for auto and home coverage in the United States, supported by a network of over 19,200 independent contractor exclusive agents and more than 67,000 employees.
