The Federal Reserve has revised the stress capital buffer requirement for Goldman Sachs, lowering it to 6.2%. This adjustment results in a Standardized Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio of 13.7%, effective October 1, 2024.

Denis Coleman, Chief Financial Officer of Goldman Sachs, commented on the development: “We appreciate the Federal Reserve’s willingness to reconsider this matter. We will continue to engage with our regulator to better understand their determinations and to advocate for a more transparent process.”
