Northern Kentucky women's soccer team achieved a significant victory against Youngstown State on Saturday. The Norse, who have been on a winning streak, dominated the game with a 4-0 win. This victory marks their fifth consecutive win and places them in a favorable position for the Horizon League Tournament.

The match took place at Farmers National Bank Field in Youngstown, Ohio. Northern Kentucky now holds a record of 10-6-1 overall and 7-1-1 in the Horizon League, while Youngstown State stands at 4-11-2 overall and 2-7-0 in the league.

Throughout the game, Northern Kentucky showed dominance by taking 24 total shots, with 13 on target. In contrast, Youngstown State managed only seven shots with one on goal. Kylie Anderson was notable for her performance, scoring two goals—one in the first half's 23rd minute and another in the second half's 57th minute.

Lilly Yordy also made an impact by scoring a goal in the 30th minute and assisting both of Anderson’s goals. Lydia Self added to the scoreline with a penalty kick goal in the game's final stages at the 83rd minute.

Northern Kentucky's swift play resulted in two early goals within eight minutes during the first half. They continued their momentum into the second half to secure their fifth straight win.

The Norse will conclude their regular season with an upcoming match against Wright State on Wednesday.
