Northern Kentucky University's men's basketball team secured their second win of the season with an 86-70 victory over Bellarmine. The game took place at Truist Arena, marking a return to action for NKU against their old GLVC rival.

The Norse's success was largely due to a strong second-half performance. Randall Pettus II achieved a career-high by scoring 20 points in just 23 minutes and also contributed five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Trey Robinson added to the team's success with a season-high of 24 points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Sam Vinson scored 18 points, continuing his streak of four consecutive games with at least 15 points. Vinson is now only three points away from reaching 1,000 career points.

NKU demonstrated efficiency by committing only five turnovers while forcing Bellarmine into making 15 turnovers. The team also won the rebounding battle with a margin of 35-24 and finished the game with 16 assists.

During the first half, both teams exchanged leads several times before NKU took control in the second half. The Norse shot an impressive 63% from the field and 57% from beyond the arc during this period, leading by as many as 18 points.

Looking ahead, Northern Kentucky will face Akron on December 3rd.
