Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) division has announced its hiring for the role of control systems engineer manager in Rossford, Ohio. This position focuses on proactive automation controls and technical support for fulfillment center operations.

According to a post on Amazon’s job board, the control systems engineer manager role aims to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance. The equipment includes conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) devices and programs.

The post states that key responsibilities include coordinating and planning work activities for the control systems technicians/leads to achieve the goals and objectives of North America customer fulfillment teams. Additionally, the role involves working with building operations, operations engineering, FC Start-up Team, AFT Software teams, ACES team, and Safety in supporting material handling equipment (MHE) systems optimization and project implementation. The position also requires maintaining and troubleshooting material handling control systems.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent fields or possess two or more years of professional or military experience. Preferred qualifications include experience creating automated alarms, reports, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics for plant management; experience using relational databases such as SQL; and familiarity with electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment.
