Amazon is seeking to fill a structural designer role in Columbus and three other metropolitan areas in the United States. Candidates should have a passion for building information modeling (BIM) and working on complex projects.

According to a job listing on Amazon, the selected candidate will work on the BIM design team, with responsibilities ranging from designing complex projects with innovative solutions for Amazon-owned data center facilities to supporting the Central Engineering Team through the preparation of structural BIM models and BIM data. They will contribute to data center design documents for structural systems, exterior envelope design, site and civil planning, material lifecycle and sustainability, seismic considerations, and building code compliance. They will also produce and maintain structural drawing sets for the company’s fleet of data centers.
