On Friday, May 17, Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Senator Bob Casey will visit Kane, Pennsylvania. The visit is part of the Biden-Harris Administration's Investing in Rural America Tour. As the head of the SBA and a representative voice for America's over 33 million small businesses in President Biden’s Cabinet, Guzman's tour aims to connect with local small business owners and economic development leaders.
In the morning, Guzman and Casey will join Kane Mayor Brandy Schimp and local economic development representatives for a discussion on the state of rural business in the Pennsylvania Wilds region. Following this, they will embark on a walking tour of local small businesses. This includes those that have seen growth under the Small Business Boom initiative launched by the Biden-Harris Administration. The aim is to meet with owners who have benefited from SBA resources and hear about their experiences as rural entrepreneurs.
The small business tour is open to members of the media who RSVP to theodora.lake@sba.gov. The event is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ET in Kane, PA.
