Two Tucson tech companies are uniting to launch a 5G antenna that touts a wider range with less space and less power, according to Biz Journals.
FreeFall Aerospace teamed up with ED2 Corp. to create the 5G device, which could be released as early as this summer. The new device will also beat other similar options due to its flexibility, Biz Journals reported.
The two companies began collaborating in 2018 and started work on the antenna the following year.
DV Equity Partners Managing Partner Bob Griffin, who announced the partnership, said in a statement, “Based on what we all felt was a game-changing technology for 5G, it made sense to form a spin-off to operationalize the antenna," Biz Journals reported.
Fletcher McCusker, CEO and UAVenture Capital founder, also said the 5G antenna will have the power to revolutionize communication, according to Biz Journals.
