Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 9.

Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce, the largest business association in the region, is excited to announce a partnership with the Arizona Chapter of the National Safety Council.

The partnership will bring a new level of professional training, education, and safety awareness to the Southwest Valley community.

The Southwest Valley community has seen a significant increase in economic growth over the past few years. The current economic forecast is for continued growth in the four-city area and the rest of Western Maricopa County. New jobs mean new employees who will need training and sometimes more than what employers can offer.

Rick Murray, President and CEO of the Arizona Chapter National Safety Council (NSC) said, "We know that owning and running a profitable business is hard enough without the prospect of a catastrophic loss or injury. Our partnership will help Southwest Valley businesses protect their investment through meaningful and pertinent safety and training programs."

The first safety training session titled "Raising Eyebrows" is Tuesday September 4, 2018, 12:00-1:00pm, at the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce. The session will show how to protect your most valuable assets. Class and registration information is online, www.southwestvalleychamber.org.
