The Pima County Community Services Employment and Training Development (CSET) department has relocated its Youth Employment Center in order to allow for better access and proximity to other county services.

The Youth Employment Center, which is part of the ARIZONA@WORK Pima County One-Stop workforce development system, is now at the Sentinel Building on Commerce Park Loop.

The move will allow for the operation of its summer youth program from the new location in addition to its employment services activities for in-school youth, out-of-school youth and disconnected youth, according to a press release.

“The WIOA Youth Program is intended to assist youth with serious barriers to employment in becoming self-sufficient through employment and education or training,” Pima County Community Services Manager Eddie Saavedra said in the release.

The Youth Program assists young adults in getting “work ready” with its post-secondary education and training workshops.

“Our staff is here to help young people finish high school, get started in a higher education program, get a job, or keep the employment they may already have,” Saavedra said. “Our goal is to help youth find better employment to create a skilled and prepared workforce in Pima County.”
