Arizona encourages residents and visitors through the month of June to visit its parks, trails, water sports, camping sites, museums and more as part of National Great Outdoors Month.

The state offers a variety of activities. Roving RV families can reserve a campsite, choosing from among 15 different locations, while those who enjoy nature with creature comforts can camp in cabins at Alamo Lake, Dead Horse Ranch, Kartchner Caverns, Lyman Lake or Roper Lake state parks.

Beaches abound at Buckskin Mountain State Park, Lake Havasu State Park, Patagonia Lake State Park, River Island State Park and Roper Lake State Park, with Cattail Cove State Park as the go-to spot for families with dogs.

Boating and water sports are available at many of the beaches and can also be found at Alamo Lake State Park, Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area and Lyman Lake State Park.

Tourists and residents can explore Kartchner Caverns State Park, a living cave formed over 20,000 years, during a 90-minute tour. Skywatchers can participate in moonlight hikes or sign up for a stargazing party.
