Three executives have joined Solutions for a Healthier World Foundation Inc., augmenting the nonprofit’s leadership in bringing stem cell therapy and autoimmune disease treatment to those in need.

Bill Deegan of Scottsdale has been appointed CEO; Lynn Behlendorf of Phoenix is the new executive director; and Guillermo Salazar, also of Phoenix, has been named vice president for international development, according to a press release from the foundation.

Deegan is a retired certified public accountant and serves as president of Bioscience Americas LLC, a stem cell treatment center developer. Previously, he worked at United Way. 

Behlendorf, with a background in marketing and communications, most recently worked at the American Lung Association in an executive and advisory capacity. 

Salazar helps U.S. businesses to achieve global growth, currently with Grupo Patron LLC in Glendale.

The three “bring an extensive, high level of professionalism to the Foundation,” the foundation’s chairman, Eric Stoffers, said in the release. "The Board of Directors looks forward to their leadership as they work together to expand the Foundation’s global reach.”

The foundation, established in Phoenix in 2006, raises funds to pay for stem cell treatment, working with scientists to stay attuned to industry advances.
