The Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce encourages local businesses to host monthly AM Exchanges and PM Mixers to allow area professionals to network and present their business efforts and events.
The events are sponsored by the chamber, but hosted each month by a different member business, giving those businesses a prominent platform to introduce themselves to other professionals and business owners in the region, the chamber said on its website. These highly social events are great for both business and social networking, allowing attendees to make professionals and personal connections.
The AM Exchanges typically consist of groups from 30 to 35 people that meet for about an hour before the work day begins, usually at 7 a.m., the chamber posting said. Host companies provide breakfast, ranging from continental breakfast to a full breakfast at their discretion, and the space for the event, though they can plan to use a chamber member restaurant if they do not have large enough facilities of their own. The AM Exchanges begin with 15 to 20 minutes of open networking and have a fairly structured format to provide each attendee with 30 seconds to tell the group about themselves and their businesses or events, as well as their reasons for attending.
The PM Mixers are less structured, running every third Thursday of the month from 5 to 7 p.m. and consisting of 100 to 125 chamber members. These events are held at various locations throughout the Lake Havasu community.
