Salt River Project, EVgo provide five new electric vehicle charging stations
Salt River Project (SRP) has teamed up with EVgo to place five fast-charging EVgo Stations for electric vehicles in SRP’s service territory.
It takes less than 30 minutes to charge a car to near-full capacity at an EVgo station. The new stations located throughout the Valley include both CHAdeMO & CCS adapters which cover a majority of electric vehicles.
This collaborative effort between EVgo and SRP is to improve air quality in metropolitan Phoenix. SRP also offers a price plan for electric-vehicle owners and provides incentives for commercial customers to invest in charging stations for their employees and customers.
“We are excited that more and more SRP customers are choosing electric vehicles and it’s important that we offer them ways to support that choice,” said Kelly Barr, SRP senior director of environmental management and SRP’s chief sustainability and compliance executive. “At SRP, we are committed to environmental stewardship and applaud companies like EVgo that are making it easier to drive electric.”
"Working with local communities and building partnerships with leaders like SRP is the key to bringing the electric lifestyle to more and more drivers on the road today” said Terry O’Day, EVgo vice president. “EVgo’s network is growing rapidly, and together with our drivers, we are making the EV movement unstoppable."
The new EVgo-SRP Station locations are found at Biltmore Fashion Park, 2502 E. Camelback Road, in Phoenix; Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7014 E. Camelback Road, in Scottsdale; Chandler Fashion Square, 3111 W. Chandler Blvd., in Chandler; San-Tan Village, 2218 E. Williams Field Road, in Gilbert; and Arizona Mills, 5000 S. Arizona Mills Circle, in Tempe.
