The Arizona Corporation Commission has recently chosen to accept Gov. Doug Ducey's Lean Government Initiative.
The Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) has recently chosen to accept a new initiative proposed by Gov. Doug Ducey, the Lean Government Initiative, which aims to increase efficiency while also bettering customer service practices.
Since becoming governor, Ducey has been trying to implement changes in administration practices, and in a recent ACC staff meeting to discuss the initiative, the commissioners happily agreed to the vision.
“I am pleased to see the commission engage Governor Doug Ducey’s office, beginning March 1, to learn more about the Lean program and how it can be used in every aspect of commission business," Commissioner Andy Tobin."In other agencies I have managed, Lean saved my employees and the taxpayers time and money by simplifying agency processing, developing a more positive organizational culture and evaluating our purpose and practice to best serve Arizonans. I look forward to helping Chairman (Doug) Little and my fellow commissioners move forward with the implementation of Lean at the Commission."
The commission hopes that the new plan can bring much-needed changes.
"I believe the commission could realize significant improvements in processing efficiencies, reduced wait times on corporate filings, improved quality and enhanced customer service by adopting Lean," Little said.
