SRP, one of the largest public power utilities in the United States, is offering business owners a free seminar on how to export goods, especially to Mexico and Canada, on Wednesday morning in Tempe.
Small and mid-size business experts will speak about the importance of exports on Arizona’s economy; various programs and resources available at the federal, state, regional and local levels; and how exporting can help the bottom line.
The panel of experts will include Alana Chavez Langdon, international economic development analyst III with the Maricopa Association of Governments; Brett Johnson, partner at Snell & Wilmer, whose practice includes government regulatory compliance, export and government contracting; Doug Bruhnke, CEO and founder of Global Chamber; Hank Marshall, economic development executive officer of the city of Phoenix; Kevin O'Shea, vice president of international trade, Arizona Commerce Authority; Kristian Richardson, director of U.S. Commercial Service in Arizona, International Trade Administration and U.S Department of Commerce; and Rick Murray, president and CEO of Arizona Small Business Association.
The seminar will begin at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Embassy Suites, Phoenix Ballroom, 4400 S. Rural Road in Tempe.
