Bureau of Labor Statistics announces June CPI increase for Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that in June, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell increased by 0.7 percent due to a rise in the electricity index. Over the past year, the CPI-U increased by 2.6 percent, with the food index rising by 2.2 percent and the energy index by 3.9 percent.
Gas prices rise slightly despite hurricane and record holiday travel

The national average for a gallon of gas rose three cents to $3.54 from last week, according to recent data. This slight increase occurred despite Hurricane Beryl impacting the Texas coast, a record number of July 4th car travelers, and oil prices remaining above $80 per barrel.
