Gov. Andy Beshear announced that Alta Alloys LLC will invest $20 million to relocate its headquarters and expand operations in Simpson County, Kentucky. This investment is expected to create 45 new skilled manufacturing jobs.
Gov. Beshear expressed his support for the move, stating, “I’m proud to welcome Alta Alloys to their New Kentucky Home, as they invest in Simpson County and create 45 new jobs for our people.” He emphasized the significance of this decision for Kentucky's business environment and future economic prospects.
The project involves acquiring a 105,000-square-foot building and constructing an additional facility on the site. Operations are anticipated to begin by mid-2026.
Alta Alloys President Nick Polites highlighted the advantages of relocating to Franklin, Kentucky: “Establishing our new corporate headquarters in Franklin, Kentucky, marks a monumental step for Alta Alloys.” The company aims to leverage Franklin’s central location and business-friendly atmosphere.
Simpson County Judge/Executive Mason Barnes welcomed the investment: “Alta Alloys’ investment marks a major win for Simpson County. These 45 new jobs will directly support local families.”
Franklin Mayor Larry Dixon also commented on the positive impact of the investment: “We are thrilled to welcome Alta Alloys to Franklin. Their investment brings not only new jobs but also innovation and long-term value.”
Jim DeCesare from the Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority noted that Alta Alloys’ choice reflects community strength: “This $20 million investment and the creation of 45 new jobs reinforce our commitment.”
This development aligns with Gov. Beshear's broader efforts toward economic growth in Kentucky, which have seen significant investments totaling over $36 billion since he took office.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved a 10-year incentive agreement under the Kentucky Business Investment program offering up to $2 million in tax incentives based on meeting specific targets related to job creation and wages.
Additionally, Alta Alloys can access workforce services such as recruitment assistance and job training incentives provided by state agencies.
