The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has established a Business Recovery Center in Los Angeles County to support small businesses and private nonprofit organizations affected by the civil unrest from July 6 to July 18. The center, located at the City of Los Angeles Business Source Center in East Los Angeles, offers resources for business owners and nonprofits without needing an appointment.

Chris Stallings, associate administrator of the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the SBA, stated: “SBA’s Business Recovery Centers have consistently proven their value to business owners following a disaster.” These centers provide assistance with disaster loan applications and connect businesses with recovery resources.

The SBA's Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is available for small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, nurseries, and private nonprofits impacted by financial losses due to these events. The loans can be used for working capital needs like fixed debts and payroll even if there was no physical damage. Interest rates are set at 4% for small businesses and 3.625% for nonprofits with terms up to 30 years.

Applications can be submitted online at sba.gov/disaster or through the SBA Customer Service Center. The deadline for economic injury applications is March 27, 2026.
