The Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA), along with NetChoice, has filed an amicus brief in support of Apple's appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. This move comes in response to the district court's decision in the case of Epic Games v. Apple. The brief emphasizes concerns regarding First Amendment rights related to injunctive relief that mandates Apple to present links and descriptions for In-App Purchases in a specific way.

Previously, CCIA submitted a brief advocating for a stay on the injunction during the appeal process; however, this request was denied by the Ninth Circuit.

Stephanie Joyce, Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff, and Director of CCIA Litigation Center, stated: "A court order forcing a party to speak in a prescribed way is just as problematic under the First Amendment as a law passed by a legislative body. The injunction against Apple contains restrictions on speech that deserve the most stringent review. Apple should remain free to speak of its own products and services as it chooses."
