TechNet, a network of tech CEOs and senior executives, has appointed Andrew Wood as Executive Director for Colorado and the Central U.S. region. Wood will be based in Denver and manage state advocacy in several states including Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Utah, and Wyoming.
Linda Moore, TechNet President and CEO, expressed enthusiasm about Wood's appointment: “We are thrilled to welcome Andrew to TechNet.” She emphasized the importance of state legislatures in tech policy and highlighted Wood’s experience in Colorado as beneficial for their members.
David Edmonson, Senior Vice President of State Policy and Government Relations at TechNet, noted that Wood’s relationships with lawmakers would benefit their team. “Andrew’s strong relationships with lawmakers and key stakeholders will be a tremendous asset to our team,” he said.
Wood himself shared his excitement about joining TechNet: “I’m thrilled to join TechNet and their industry-leading state advocacy program at this critical time.”
Before joining TechNet, Wood worked at Colorado Legislative Strategies as a Lobbyist and General Counsel. His previous roles include serving as Policy Director for the Colorado House Majority Office and Deputy District Attorney on Colorado’s Western Slope. He also led voter protection programs during past election cycles.
Wood holds a degree from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
TechNet's advocacy program operates across all 50 states focusing on legislative and regulatory issues. It includes various regions such as the Southeast Region led by Katie Kelly in Tallahassee; the Southwest Region led by Robert Boykin and Jose Torres in Sacramento; among others.
