Stephen E. Biegun Senior Vice President, Global Public Policy | Boeing

Boeing has appointed Stephen Parker as the president and CEO of its Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division. The announcement was made on July 1, 2025, with Parker assuming the role immediately. He had been serving as the interim leader of BDS since September 2024.

Kelly Ortberg, Boeing's President and CEO, stated, "Under Steve's leadership, our defense business has stabilized its operations, improved program execution and strengthened relationships with our customers." Ortberg praised Parker's experience in manufacturing and program management and highlighted his focus on developing people and building a strong culture at Boeing.

In his new role, Parker will report directly to Ortberg and join the company's Executive Council. He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the BDS unit that provides technology, products, and solutions for defense, government, space, and intelligence clients globally.

Before this appointment, Parker served as BDS chief operating officer where he managed day-to-day operations including quality control, manufacturing safety, supply chain logistics, and program management. His previous roles also included leading divisions such as Bombers & Fighters and Vertical Lift. Additionally, he managed Boeing Defence Australia. Parker has been with Boeing since 1988.
