Apple Music is marking its 10th anniversary with the launch of a new studio in Los Angeles. This facility aims to support artists by providing tools and platforms for creative expression. Rachel Newman, Apple Music's co-head, stated, "With this new studio, we are furthering our commitment to creating a space for artists to create, connect, and share their vision."
The studio features two advanced radio studios equipped with Spatial Audio playback, a 4,000-square-foot soundstage for performances and events, a dedicated Spatial Audio mixing room, and facilities for content creation. It also includes private isolation booths for songwriting and interviews.
This Los Angeles studio will be part of a global network of creative hubs in cities like New York and Tokyo. Zane Lowe reflected on the journey from launching Beats 1 to today: "Ten years on, Apple Music Radio is everything we hoped it would be."
To commemorate the milestone, Apple Music Radio will host special programming starting June 30. The schedule includes “Don’t Be Boring: The Birth of Apple Music Radio with Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden” and an eight-hour broadcast event titled “10 Years of Apple Music.” The celebrations will conclude with a live broadcast featuring various artists.
Apple Music Radio will also present the top 500 most-streamed songs over the past decade in a countdown starting July 1. Additionally, Apple Music is introducing Replay All Time for subscribers to access their most-played songs since joining the service.
