Washington — The Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) has announced the appointment of Michael Marn as its new senior manager for federal affairs. Marn previously worked as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., focusing on technology and telecommunications legislation. Before his role with Senator Blackburn, he was a policy analyst in the government relations practice at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck.
Since 1972, CCIA has been an advocate for innovation and policies that promote competition and growth within the tech sector.
Vice President for Federal Affairs Brian McMillan stated, “Federal policymakers are making crucial decisions that impact the economy, online privacy, and competition in technology policy areas like AI. Michael’s experience will be an asset to the team as we advise policymakers on the most appropriate approach to regulation in our industry.”
