The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced the opening of a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in Stephens County to support small businesses, private nonprofit organizations, and residents affected by severe storms and flooding that began on April 19.
Starting Tuesday, May 27, SBA customer service representatives will be available at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Duncan to assist with the disaster loan application process. No appointment is necessary for walk-ins, though appointments can be scheduled at appointment.sba.gov.
The center will operate at the Stephens County Fairgrounds in Duncan from Tuesday through Friday, closing permanently at the end of business on May 30.
Chris Stallings, associate administrator of the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the SBA, stated: “When disasters strike, SBA’s Disaster Loan Outreach Centers perform an important role by assisting small businesses and their communities.”
Eligible businesses and nonprofits can apply for physical disaster loans up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged real estate and assets. Homeowners may apply for up to $500,000 for primary residence repairs, while renters can borrow up to $100,000 for personal property replacement.
Applicants may also qualify for a loan increase of up to 20% of their physical damages for mitigation improvements such as insulating pipes or installing storm windows.
The Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is available for working capital needs due to financial losses from these disasters. EIDLs are accessible even if no physical damage occurred. Interest rates start as low as 4% for small businesses and 2.75% for homeowners with terms extending up to 30 years.
Applications can be submitted online at sba.gov/disaster or by contacting SBA’s Customer Service Center. The deadline for physical property damage applications is July 11, 2025; economic injury applications are due by February 12, 2026.
