Washington, D.C. – The App Association has announced the appointment of Jack Fleming as its new Director of Global Communications. Fleming previously held the position of Chief Communications Officer at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Fleming is recognized for his communications skills and understanding of policy issues. At the USPTO, he was in charge of strategic communications development and implementation, advising the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO.
Morgan Reed, President of The App Association, expressed enthusiasm about Fleming's arrival: “The App Association is thrilled to welcome Jack Fleming,” said Reed. “A key part of our mission is ensuring that the press and public understand the opportunities and challenges facing small tech companies today. Jack’s policy expertise and high-level communications experience will be critical to spreading our message effectively on a global scale.”
Before his role at the USPTO, Fleming worked with The Education Trust in various roles, focusing on education policy to remove barriers within the American education system.
