Malcolm L. (Lee) McAllister has been elected as the new chair of the AAA Board of Directors during the organization's 122nd Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida. Previously serving as vice chair, McAllister is stepping into this leadership role for one of North America's largest membership organizations, which serves over 65 million members. Julie Lilly, CEO of ArchBridge Family Office, will join him as vice chair.
McAllister expressed his commitment to the organization by stating, “The strength of AAA lies in our shared vision and commitment to serving our members.” He added that he looks forward to "embracing new challenges with boldness and amplifying our impact as one of America’s most trusted brands."
In his role as chair, McAllister will collaborate closely with Vice Chair Lilly and AAA President and CEO Gene Boehm. Together with various AAA clubs, they aim to align on a shared vision to provide necessary products and services for their members.
McAllister has been part of the AAA board since 2022 and also serves on the board of The Auto Club Group. Before joining AAA's board, he was Chair of the Carolina Motor Club. Gene Boehm praised McAllister's past contributions: “During his time with the AAA Board, Lee has already been a pivotal part of our success.”
Outside his involvement with AAA, McAllister is CEO of Weaver Investment Company in North Carolina and oversees KMW Builders. He also holds positions on several other boards including Park Center Management and Cone Health Cancer Center.
Julie Lilly joined the AAA Board in 2022 and brings experience from her role at ArchBridge Family Office in St. Louis. She is recognized for her achievements such as winning the 2023 Family Wealth Report Awards “Outstanding CEO” designation.
“There are few organizations like AAA,” said Lilly. “I am excited to join Lee as an advocate for our members.”
McAllister takes over from Paula R. Collins as chair.
