Covington Parks & Recreation has unveiled its 2025 Program Guide, promising a year of activities for the community. "The City's Parks & Recreation staff know how important our parks, playgrounds, and green spaces are to our children and families, and – as they do each year – they have planned a year full of outstanding activities and events," stated Mayor Ron Washington.

Greg Stacy, Parks & Recreation Manager, highlighted the range of offerings, including the return of community favorites and new programs such as Monarch Pledge events and youth sports leagues. "We're bringing back all the favorite programs and events that people in The Cov look forward to and enjoy, plus we've created new and expanded programs," Stacy explained.

Residents can expect landmark events like the Devou Park Bandshell featuring the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Concerts in the Park, and Astronomy Nights at Volpenheim Pavilion. The city guide can be accessed online or through printed copies available at community hubs like the public library and City Hall.

Youth programs are central, offering activities such as Cov-tivities at local water parks, story times, and soccer camps. Other recreational options include archery camps, historical walking tours, and a new volleyball series. Seasonal events encompass the Youth Fishing Derby, Pumpkin Carving Nights, and the Jack-O-Lantern Festival.

Wellness sessions at Devou Park Rotary Grove Memorial will provide guided mindfulness meditations, Tai Chi with Master Greg Fahey, and yoga practices.

Stacy urges residents to follow Parks & Rec's social media for updates and possible new additions to the schedule.

"Residents can see the City of Covington Parks & Recreation 2025 Program Guide online," Stacy said, anticipating a highly engaging year for the Covington community.
