John Deere has introduced new enhancements to its 900 M-Series Tracked Feller Bunchers, 900 MH-Series Tracked Harvesters, and 900 ML-Series Shovel Loggers. The updates aim to boost customer productivity with features like an improved Dedicated Travel System and Return-to-Level functionality. Jim O'Halloran, the global product marketing manager at John Deere, emphasized that these improvements are based on "ongoing customer feedback" which is integrated into their machines.

The Dedicated Travel System isolates travel functions from other machine operations, preventing interference during tasks. This system comes standard on specific models such as the 859M, 953M, and 959M Feller Bunchers, and remains optional for others like the 853M and 903M Feller Bunchers.

The Return-To-Level feature allows operators to adjust leveling systems with a single button press. Combined with the John Deere Slope Monitoring system, this feature helps operators manage machine adjustments more efficiently. These advanced features are available as part of the optional Slope Management System upgrade.

Additional improvements include enhanced leveling system cylinder pin joints and strengthened track frame steps on all models in the series. For more information about these updates or other John Deere forestry solutions, customers can visit their local dealer or explore www.deere.com/en/technology-products/forestry-and-logging-technology/.
