Gasoline prices have experienced a slight increase despite the decrease in oil costs and low domestic demand. The average price at the pump has risen by three cents, reaching $3.13 per gallon. Meanwhile, the cost of electricity at public EV charging stations remains steady at 34 cents per kilowatt hour.

Andrew Gross, a spokesperson for AAA, attributes this rise to seasonal weather conditions. "The culprit for the pop in prices is likely old man Winter," he explained. "It’s a little harder to distribute gasoline in bad weather, and refineries don’t operate well in freezing temperatures either."
