Stephanie Kalili, an Amazon employee, expressed that the company's Progyny benefits were "instrumental" in helping her and her partner achieve their dream of reciprocal IVF. Kalili shared her experience as a guest on a recent episode of the "This is Infertility Podcast" by Progyny.

"Amazon has been super instrumental in my career progression, but also to have this benefit to be able to create a family," said Kalili. "Through Amazon's benefits with Progyny, like we were able to actually do it the way we want it to. Reciprocal IVF was something that we knew we always wanted, but also knew that that likely wasn't super attainable with the financial burden and the other challenges that come with it. Super appreciative, super thankful to Amazon."

Amazon received the 2023 Hope Award for Access from RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, recognizing its efforts to provide inclusive and accessible care. In an interview with Dan Bulger at Progyny, Kalili explained how she and her wife, Jasmine, utilized Amazon’s fertility benefits through Progyny to pursue reciprocal IVF and start their family. The couple now has a son named Nakoa.

According to available data as of August 2023, more than 30,000 individuals have used Amazon's family-building benefits offered through Progyny. These benefits include support for in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg freezing, and genetic testing, accessible to employees regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or relationship status.

Phyllis, an operations manager in Kentucky, and her wife Lindsay became parents to three children through reciprocal IVF. Phyllis said that "Amazon's family-building benefits gave my wife and me our beautiful children," adding that they conceived their babies through the process called "reciprocal in vitro fertilization."

In September 2023, Amazon announced a transition to a new fertility and family care provider, Maven. According to Statnews reports, starting in January 2025, Amazon employees will have access to IVF and other fertility benefits through Maven.

Heather Mellish, global president of Families@—Amazon’s family-focused affinity group—said it was positive to see the addition of Maven to their benefits. She emphasized that such support across the entire definition of "family" is what a company should provide for its employees.
