Northern Kentucky Norse Women's Basketball faced another close defeat against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels in a home game at Truist Arena, Highland Heights, Kentucky. Despite leading for most of the game, Northern Kentucky couldn't maintain their advantage, ultimately losing 75-84.

Halle Idowu led Northern Kentucky's scoring with 21 points on 8-16 shooting, adding five rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Macey Blevins contributed 14 points and went 3-5 from deep but fouled out with over six minutes left in the game. Kamora Morgan scored 13 points in her second start, while Mya Meredith added 11 points off the bench. Freshman Anna Hamilton was pivotal with four assists and two steals.

The Norse had a strong first half, achieving a thirteen-point lead before Eastern Kentucky narrowed it to four by halftime. In the third quarter, Northern Kentucky shot 57.1% from the floor but only converted six of eleven free throw attempts amid numerous fouls throughout the game.

In the fourth quarter, without Blevins on court due to foul trouble, Northern Kentucky struggled offensively and managed just four successful shots out of sixteen attempts. The Colonels capitalized with a decisive six-point swing in the final moments to secure their win.

Next week marks the beginning of Horizon League play for Northern Kentucky as they face Cleveland State away on Wednesday and host Youngstown State on Saturday.
