Morgan Stanley has officially opened its new Southeast Asia headquarters in Singapore. The office is situated in the IOI Central Boulevard Towers, a newly constructed A-grade building in downtown Singapore. The opening ceremony was attended by Morgan Stanley's Chief Executive Officer Ted Pick, Morgan Stanley Asia CEO Gokul Laroia, and Leong Sing Chiong, Deputy Managing Director (Markets and Development) of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
The new office spans 107,000 square feet over five floors and will function as a regional hub for the company's operations in Southeast Asia. It features advanced technology infrastructure aimed at enhancing service delivery to clients.
Ted Pick stated, “We are excited to open our new Southeast Asia headquarters, an investment that reflects our commitment to Singapore and the wider region where we see significant long-term growth opportunities.” He emphasized that the new headquarters is crucial for Morgan Stanley’s growth strategy in Southeast Asia.
David Aronovitch, CEO of Southeast Asia for Morgan Stanley, described the inauguration as a "significant milestone" for the company. He highlighted that the new office offers an improved client experience and fosters a collaborative work environment.
The building aligns with Morgan Stanley’s sustainability goals and aims to achieve several certifications including BCA Green Mark Platinum and BCA Universal Design Gold Mark. It also meets LEED Gold and Fitwell 1-Star standards through various sustainable measures such as low energy lighting systems and high-efficiency equipment.
Morgan Stanley has been operating in Singapore since 1990. The city-state serves as its headquarters for Southeast Asia with additional offices located in Jakarta, Bangkok, and Manila. The Singapore office provides various services including investment banking, securities trading, private wealth management, among others. Additionally, it hosts the annual Morgan Stanley Asia Pacific Summit.
