Evanston Academy has been awarded the Save the Music Foundation Core Band Grant, which will supply the school with 36 musical instruments along with essential equipment and materials to enhance its music classes.

Thomas Frank, band director for several CPS schools, expressed enthusiasm about the grant's impact on the program. "We are all super excited and proud," he stated. "This plays a significant role in our attendance, as students learn instrument care and take pride in their band."

The Core Grant Program is part of Save the Music Foundation’s mission to revitalize instrumental music education in public elementary and middle schools. It emphasizes equity by ensuring every eligible school within the district can improve its music offerings.

Evanston Academy aims to use this opportunity to foster students' creativity, collaboration, and sense of community through music education. The school is committed to rebuilding its music program and encouraging a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
