London, UK – 24 June, 2024 – Global investment firm Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) announced the launch of a new evergreen private equity strategy, Carlyle AlpInvest Private Markets SICAV ("CAPM SICAV" or the "Fund"). This initiative offers investors worldwide, excluding the US, access to a global portfolio of private markets investments through Carlyle's Global Investment Solutions business, AlpInvest.

With $425 billion in assets under management, Carlyle and AlpInvest provide investors with opportunities across private markets. CAPM SICAV aims to deliver immediate, diversified, and continuous access to global private equity buyout markets by strategically allocating primarily across AlpInvest’s Secondary and Co-Investment fund opportunities and offering exposure to Primary fund investments.

Ruulke Bagijn, Head of Global Investment Solutions at Carlyle, stated: “CAPM SICAV is exciting as it allows us to further build out our global private equity capability to individuals in new geographies. We have constructed and managed similar portfolios for some of the largest private equity investors for over 20 years, committing over $95 billion since 2000.”

Shane Clifford, Head of Global Wealth at Carlyle, added: “The launch of CAPM SICAV is a significant step for Carlyle’s global wealth offering. It provides individual investors with diversified exposure into private equity investments by leveraging the scale and breadth of AlpInvest’s platform and extensive GP network. It is a compelling opportunity for individual investors to benefit from our expertise in private markets.”

This launch builds on recent successful product introductions for Carlyle’s global wealth channel in its Credit and Investment Solutions segments. Notably among these was the Carlyle AlpInvest Private Markets Fund, a US-registered fund available to US investors. The introduction of CAPM SICAV marks another milestone in Carlyle’s efforts to deliver nearly four decades of long-term value creation to wealth management clients and facilitate access to growth and diversification opportunities in private markets.

Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) is a global investment firm that deploys private capital across three business segments: Global Private Equity, Global Credit, and Global Investment Solutions. As of March 31, 2024, it manages $425 billion in assets. The firm employs more than 2,200 people across 28 offices on four continents.
